An award-winning writer and frequent conference speaker, Shirley Raye Redmond is the author of Courageous World Changers: 50 True Stories of Daring Women of God and Brave Heroes and Bold Defenders (Harvest House) and thirty other titles. Lewis & Clark: A Prairie Dog for the President (Random House) was a Children’s Book of the Month Club selection. Pigeon Hero! (Simon & Schuster) won the 2004 Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Gold Book Award. Patriots in Petticoats: Heroines of the American Revolution (Random House) was named one of the best children’s books of 2005 by Bank Street College of Education. Jennifer McKerley has taught children for many years and is an award-winning writer. Random House published her first children’s book Man O’War: Best Racehorse Ever, as well as Amazing Armadillos, which was the 2010 winner for Young Readers Book in the New Mexico Book Awards. Also, Bank Street College of Education named Amazing Armadillos as one of the best children’s books of 2010.
